One of my favourite phrases is “I’m not a millionaire” “Why aren’t you ordering a drink?” – “I’m not a millionaire” “Why don’t you have a car?” – “I’m not a millionaire” “Why are you taking a 3 day bus trip across country?” – “I’m not a millionaire” When I decided that I was moving to Alberta months ago, I knew that I would take the bus because airfare costs (flight plus baggage fees) would be way too expensive for this girl! And so here we are! I left Montreal on Thursday night and arrived in Calgary on Sunday morning after a gruelling 59 hour bus ride. I actually prefer bus travel to plane and train so I suppose that it was only a matter of time before I took a bus cross-country. Here’s how much it cost me to move cross-country (with a lovely Canada colour scheme): Bus ticket: My ticket was $115 plus tax, purchased way back in October.
